Opening/no opening for beginner ?

For the beginner that's having problems with minor piece play study the endings of knight and bishop for mate and 2 bishops for mate. Helps show the power of the 2 pieces.
I think the chess book for a beginner that I liked the best is a slim volume (100 p.) by Fred Reinfeld called: How to be a Winner at Chess.
So no openings for the moment ? Only the main principles of pieces developpement .

I've ever seen that Capablanca is a good player to study.

Have a book about his games that you can recommend ?
Well, you've got to start with something, even e4 is an opening. I haven't seen many books about Capablanca's games in my library, but I'm sure there are some.

We had a forum thread called: What's the worst player with an opening named that person. People said all kinds of things. I think more about whether they thought the opening was good or bad.

I think what I'm trying to say is that most openings have some value. You just have to pick one that appeals to you, then start playing it.

You'll soon figure out if you like it and want to stick with it or not.
try the italian, u need to jump to the wáter, dont overthink it
just play a lot of games, until u figure out what works for you
and when I say a lot, I mean a lot
if u play a "bad" opening then it does not matter because u will figure out as u play why its bad as u get punished and if the opening is good or somewhat ok then u get used to it,
search the forum as well It has plenty of info about this,
I am an average player I dont know much about openings, I have some ideas though, I think more about schemas, so what are schemas well u can think about putting ur knight on f3 or c3,
the pawns on e4 or d4, the fianchettos, the c5 pawn and c4 pawn etcetera, now if u want a shortcut im sorry there is no shortcut
but you can choose openings that are easier to play like d4,
most beginners are clueless about the opening including myself
of course if u lose a pawn, it can be troublesome for more advanced players because a pawn its a lot,
just dont overthink it and play games, thats my tip,
there may be a better way but this works at least.
u need to experiment so to speak, a knight in the rim is usually
bad but u can play it and then learn why its bad, kings gambit
is not sound but u can play it and maybe it works for u,
I would however recommend the italian perhaps scotch ruy,
the thing is that u dont choose the opening its u and the opponent
so its really more like a dialogue than anything else
u put an idea in the board and the opponent puts another one and then who has put the better ideas or has not blundered
the biggest or the latest wins the game, its just that
it has no mistery its practise.
but if u dont practise and overthink it, then u dont learn the dynamics of the game.
