Premoving lag

I played a game yesterday, were I had queen and two minor pieces against a lonely king. The only problem was that I had around 5 seconds left on my clock. After premoving 13 moves in a row I lost on time and the game ended in draw.

I know I could have won if this lag did not exist. According to this, a premove took about 0.4 sec to complete, which is a bit suprising to me.

Is this a bug (that it takes that much time to premove) or because of my internet connection?

I will proberly play with some seconds increment next time though :)
