Sound doesn't work when lichess tab isn't on top

This started a couple of weeks ago, I don't know if it is a bug yet, and if so whose it really is ...

When I have a lichess tab open but not on top, it does not produce sound. This seems to only happen with lichess.

I was thinking maybe I could try allowing notifications but I haven't had to do that before.

If I had to guess it may have started with a browser update.

I use Chrome or Chromium - I prefer not to use Firefox but I will test.

Apparently this problem doesn't occur in Firefox ... just tested.

I rebooted and it went away.

The only difference is I had "amarok" (a resource-intensive audio program) open before. I will reopen this and retest to try and see if it is related. However, it was open when I tested for the problem with Firefox (mentioned above), and I didn't observe it.

Amarok is causing the problem, it appears, when Chrome is used. Only lichess seems to be affected, and with Firefox the problem is not observed.

Amarok is sort of a mess so possibly this can't be considered a legitimate lichess bug. There would seem to be some sort of audio driver conflict in the case described.

Well now I'm seeing the same problem again.

Firefox works great. Maybe my OS.
