Big difference between advertising vs encouraging/supporting something... For ex
lichess.org/blog/X8fGPxUAAHY74FSO/our-favorite-open-source-sites-2 , lichess supports other opensource projects. (though my source of example is from a blog not forum)
Another example: lets say someone posted few chess books' reviews (as especially
goodreads.com chess books' reviews are not that relevant) with Amazon links or chessable courses review with links in "General Chess Discussion Forum" then these type of forums counts as "advertising"? If yes then I believe it defeats the whole prupose of "Discussion" & idk what kind of discussions comes under this category.
If the rules are so strict I wonder if my comment (this one) will eventually be removed because it violates the rule of forum etiquette " Don’t reply to the thread, giving it more attention"...

> yeah its true and can i say something else. When Zhigalko Sergei makes forums and posts links for his youtube channel why then lichess mods don't remove this forum??????
No comments as it violates forum etiquette rule " Do not engage in arguments that devolve into insult contests"
