Stupid deledion of information post

I had links. How to discuss things without links? It would be like writing an article without giving references. The purpose was to inform not to promote and to create a space for discussion and sharing. But if I'm to avoid another strike it seems I can't post any links at all.
I support @okei because he had created a very informative forum. Lichess mods are unacceptables
yeah its true and can i say something else. When Zhigalko Sergei makes forums and posts links for his youtube channel why then lichess mods don't remove this forum??????
I just signed on for the first time today and was excited to see a topic called "Variant News" in my feed (because variants are great). This was replaced by immediate sadness to learn that it had been deleted.

Please do better, lichess mods.
I didn't see the post - are you sure it was because of the links?
I mean why would lichess provide a feature for annotating/detecting/highlighting links if they are not allowed at all?
Big difference between advertising vs encouraging/supporting something... For ex lichess.org/blog/X8fGPxUAAHY74FSO/our-favorite-open-source-sites-2 , lichess supports other opensource projects. (though my source of example is from a blog not forum)

Another example: lets say someone posted few chess books' reviews (as especially goodreads.com chess books' reviews are not that relevant) with Amazon links or chessable courses review with links in "General Chess Discussion Forum" then these type of forums counts as "advertising"? If yes then I believe it defeats the whole prupose of "Discussion" & idk what kind of discussions comes under this category.

If the rules are so strict I wonder if my comment (this one) will eventually be removed because it violates the rule of forum etiquette " Don’t reply to the thread, giving it more attention"...

No comments as it violates forum etiquette rule " Do not engage in arguments that devolve into insult contests"
