Invisible Pieces: Women in Chess

@Bonifratz No, he's right and I think he should definitely leave lichess for good. This way he'll show the evil communist admins, and they will finally have to beg him to come back and promise never to take a stand for something they believe in again. After all, this whole site was developed just for him, didn't you know?
@Cynosure
FOSS as a concept wasn't invented by feminists or leftist activists, my friend. Maybe you wanna crack open a book before you throw around concepts that you don't understand.

And non-profits are also not inherently partisan. Stop grasping at straws to justify propaganda. The community will thank you for it!
@bak000za I was replying to AX0N who complained about lichess "spamming their political opinions onto the users". My point is that they're far from spamming anything. It's the first article on the topic I've ever seen here, and it's well out of view of all those users who just want to play chess.
@Bonifratz

Fair enough, fair enough.
It seems that every other person has an axe to grind in this thread. It's hard to tell what someone really means over text.
@bak000za

And where did I say they were? However, a website ran by a community volunteering their time and effort, for the common good, with no expectation of payment for services rendered, with no commercialist or capitalist model - that just so happens to be FOSS...well, sounds dangerously close to some kind of socialism to me - and that is a simple fact.
> FOSS as a concept wasn't invented by feminists or leftist activists [...] And non-profits are also not inherently partisan

no, but lichess was/is.
@Cynosure

It seems socialist to you and that is a "fact" lol
I literally told you, FOSS and non-profits or projects for-love-of-the-thing are not inherently feminist. Is this really your silly hill to die on?

@glbert

No it wasn't. If it was, then it should have been advertised as such. Otherwise that is just deceptive.
@bak000za

Do you know anything about the website you're using? It's literally a hippie communist chess server for drug fuelled atheists.
> No it wasn't. If it was, then it should have been advertised as such.

For someone who likes to lecture other people about reading books, you surely don't do a lot of research about the websites you visit, do you?
