THIS SITE SUCKS

Ну вот и сюда тупая русня добралась :(
I refuse to support WebSuckets. In order to play, I recommend using a former version of LiChess.
While I understand the move to websockets, I think hosting an old version of lichess for those that can't use websockets (internet explorer, or more drastic, people using mobile devices where you
can't switch browsers) would be a good idea.

Like, when you access the site, and your browser doesn't support websockets, you get asked if you want to play on the old version of lichess; if you klick "ok" or "yes" or whatever, you get there. It
could be a snapshot of the site from two years ago. Without registration and stuff, that would be too much work, just simple anonymous chess.

Of course I don't really know how much work it would be to do this.

Anyways, if you are on a PC or mac (as opposed to a mobile device) and refuse to download one of the compatible browsers, then sorry, but that's a little stubborn. It would only mean a minute or two
of downloading and installing and you could enjoy the site without any hassles.

Just picture how much hours, days and weeks of work went into lichess. This is not "the man" trying to get you down; this is a guy making a great site and trying to improve it further by introducing a
new technology. All you have to do is put in some minute's time on your side and you're ready to go.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

cheers
There is nothing wrong with websockets, only people who have the ability to upgrade their software to higher-performing and more secure versions yet refuse to out of sheer stubbornness.

I agree that when there is time later maybe thibault can add some sort of hybrid or detection for older browser setups that might not support websockets. For now though I have this grateful feeling
to view this as an opportunity, rather than a downgrade.
Вобла, обоснуй! Хуйло тупое. Не хуй писать на нашем языке, пизда не русская
